About the Founder
My name is Haley Tucker and I share my life with my husband Michael, our two rescue dogs (Maple and Opie), two ferrets (Binx and Luna), and a blue-tongued skink (Randy).
Since I can remember, I've always had a passion for caring for animals, and have always wanted to work with and save animals. When it was time to find a new job in high school, I didn't want just ANY job - I wanted a job that meant something to me, and I landed at a dog daycare and boarding facility, where I learned more about what career path I wanted to take.
Over the years, I've attended educational training sessions and workshops on dog behavior, and I have fostered and volunteered with multiple dog rescues in New England and Best Friends Animal Society in Utah. With my own dogs, I have done basic skills training, agility training and competitions, and fun events like Green Mountain Iron Dog. I'm a certified Family Dog Mediator and I hope to become a canine behavior consultant in the future. My big dream is to have a much larger property with a dog rescue and animal sanctuary, a behavior and enrichment center, space for agility, canine PT, etc.
Pit bulls and bully breeds/mixes are my favorite, and I'm also a sucker for blocky-headed labs, hounds, giant breeds, and working dogs. I also have a soft spot for fearful and timid dogs, and dogs with special needs.
